Nathan decided to surprise us last night by getting himself into four-point position and actually lifting his head!!!  My parents were over and when I turned the corner to go into the living room, he has himself up on all fours and actually put his head up!  I first asked who put him on all fours and they proceeded to tell me that he did it on his own.  He has been getting on his knees with his belly still on the ground and head down for a while now.  It is like the “child’s pose” in yoga.  He has even practiced this for a while in his crib while fighting a nap.  But for some reason, last night he decided he would push up with his arms and put his head up to look around.  It was one of the most exciting times for us and we can’t wait to celebrate more milestones with him.  Little things like this really make a huge impact when you’re a parent of a child with special needs because it shows how much all of the therapies and work that you and your child put in to everything really does pay off!!  We have been practicing four-point for months, and now Nathan can do it on his own.  We are so proud of our big boy.  I was in such shock last night that I wasn’t able to get photos of the first time he did it, but here are some photos from this morning.  Yay Nathan!!!
